I have spent the last 6 months searching fruitlessly for trailers for sale in the UK. In truth I became completely frustrated with the whole experience. Finding a new laptop or book is dead easy on the Interweb.. but when it comes to finding larger items such as trailers the Internet can seem totally useless!
So after learning to blog, I decided to set-up a website to provide advice and support for people looking for both new and second-hand trailers. My dream for this website is that it will help to reduce the number of wasted hours of Internet research looking for trailers to buy in the UK.
I am based in rainy Manchester but i want this site to be useful to people from all parts of the UK. If you have any feedback for the site or just want to talk to a pair of trailer geeks then be sure to shoot us an email: info@trailersforsaleworld.co.uk or use the contact link above.
How Much Should I Pay for a Trailer?
The first question you need to ask when buying a trailer is how much you want to pay. It makes sense to go with a second-hand trailer if you are low on budget. New trailers are far easier to find.. but they do come at a premium.
The second question you need to ask is what is the Trailer going to be used for and how often. It makes sense to have a low budget if you only plan to use your trailer once a year for a family holiday. If you plan to use your trailer for business then it’s worth noting that the cost can be offset against your tax as long as it’s only used for business. Most new trailers come with a variety of warranties and guarantees so I would recommend going down this route if you plan to use your trailer for business or regular use.

The History of trailers
So where did the trailer appear from I hear you cry? Well, its actually a very exciting story that started in Europe way back several hundred years. Although the use of trailers by various groups has occurred through out the last several hundred years it was really the Romani people who originated from the Indian sub content and traveled Europe in the 19th Century who adopted trailers as an integral way of life. Living in the trailer gave the Romani people protection from the outside elements and could be fitted with an array of amenities.
However the worlds first trailer used for leisure use was launched by the UK Bristol Carriage Company in the 1880’s. This paved the way for the fast and rapid spread of the use of the leisure trailer and has gradually evolved into what we have today.
