Ever since the media claimed that 'if the olympic games went to Atlanta in 1996 it would be held by a bunch of Red Necks', the locals have done their upmost to maintain this reputation by staging their very own Red neck games each and every year. Notable events over the years have included 'bobbing for pigs trotters' and 'the mud pit belly flop'. With the 2012 Olympic games in London looming we decided to compare the two events head to head and were pleasantly surprised just how many similarities we found:
